After working as an employee for 20 years, I established Bureau Koper in 2020. A niche agency that recruits tax professionals for both permanent and interim positions.
My career
After finishing high school in 1996, I moved to Amsterdam to study Tax Economics. By the end of 2000 I started working in PwC’s tax practice, where I worked in several departments. After a short adventure with KPMG Meijburg & Co, PwC provided me with the opportunity to work for their Melbourne office. A fantastic experience summarized as "work hard, play hard".
In 2010 I returned to the Netherlands and left the tax content behind me. I started working in recruitment of tax professionals. I recruited Tax Managers, VAT Accountants, Transfer Pricing professionals, Tax Directors et cetera in both permanent and interim positions. A fascinating period that enabled me to expand my tax network and get to thoroughly know the recruitment business.
As a curious person, I could not resist accepting an offer to join LinkedIn in 2015. Based in the Amsterdam office, I advised recruitment firms how to use LinkedIn in the best way. During this period, I obtained knowledge and experience that have proven to be valuable.
Per early 2019 I am back in tax recruitment. My experience as a tax manager, intermediary and LinkedIn expert come together beautifully. A role that suits me well and that gives me a lot of satisfaction. Being an entrepreneur and being independent have always been my dream. It was time to live my dream and found Bureau Koper!

As a recruitment consultant I get a lot of satisfaction from the personal contact with both clients and candidates. My mission is accomplished when I make the match between these parties!

My spare time is mostly spent with my wife Yvonne and our two daughters. Together we live in beautiful Loenen aan de Vecht, we love travelling and enjoy short getaways. I enjoy sailing and playing golf (good weather only) and during holidays I like to surf. I also enjoy learning new things.
